LG--

whats the deal with the jesse jackson red herring? my statement was clear...i dont like religion and politics mixing together. its ugly.

robertson v. jackson...i dont care about either one. i think they are both petty little people. i would, however, pay to see the two of them in a ring in atlantic city<G>.

and as for the exploitation of race in politics, i couldnt agree with you more.

sorry i didnt issue a blanket condemnation of clinton, et al. next time i will be more circumspect<G>.

look, this is the same thing as whats-his-name saying i am not a christian because i dont support that absurd PAC. just because i dont think much of reagan, doesnt mean i think the world of the clintonistas. i think reagan was a doddering old man. i think clinton is just a buffoon.

now, onto the discussion points...

1) schools-- now that we know the problem, whats the solution?
2) hey, nor argument from me. but go back and check the voting records...a lot of republicans voted for those programs too. at any rate, while the system needs to be reformed, and it is being reformed, i like that there is a social safety net. its just the right damn thing to do.

what i hate to hear is the crap that the country is going broke because of welfare. thats just nonsense...whether it comes from a democrat or a republican.

3) again, no argument. but a lot of that is being fixed at the state level. abortions for the indigent, or at the very least birth control, would be nice. but then, the morons at the CC pop up and nip that in the bud. of course, most of these guys still think AIDS is a gay problem.

4) its pop culture. in the 20s everyone wanted to be a bootlegger.

5) like that money didnt go into reagans bloated DoD. proposed by reagan, apporved by congress. lets not forget that we owe a lot of our current prosperity to bush and the 1990 congress which was, if memory serves, democratically controlled. that tax increase paved the way...lower deficits leading to lower interest rates and lower inflation.

my point with all this is that i HATE generalizations. republicans are no more totally right than democrats are totally wrong.

good luck to all,
trey

LG, as a lurker, I just have to give a you a thumbs up for having the energy to fight the liberal views of all those here who cannot and will not see the truth.

I wanted to give you support yesterday, but grow so tired of hearing the same litany from the left. As long as the market continues to go up, they don't care what kind of person is in office.

And, I happened to notice, like all good liberals, Mr. Trey couldn't even mention Mr. Limbaugh without using insulting language.

The children were taught another lesson today. Lie, cheat, rape. Whatever feels good. Just deny, deny, deny. Trey, and we're all suppose to just "get along"?
