gersh--

all the money has to be sopped up. glad i made biscuits without gravy<G>.

OT--

on the legislated morality thing...i use this as my yardstick...is it moral to let a man starve when you could give him food? no. is it right or is it wrong to let the man starve? right. you have no legal obligation to feed someone.

thats the thing...i look at morality as what you should do, and the law as what must be done to protect others. sure, there are issues in which both apply...it is morally and legally wrong to kill someone or steal from them, for example.

one thing we have not addressed, and is of great interest to me (call me crazy...i hate censorship in ANY form) is the CDA2-- why do we need a special law against child porn on the net, when we ALREADY have child porn laws. new technology does not necessarily mean we need new laws. its jut plain stupid. but its a hot button issue and CBN runs those stupid, illinformed reports that get the CC people in an uproar.

the desire to reach stability and reestablish a moral compass is good. what is bad is the intellectual laziness of most people in not being able to determine that most of our demigods are full of shit. group think is what we live under today...its also known by its kinder, less orwellian term...consensus.

good luck to all,
trey
