Benny: Even if it were true there is no agreement that resulted to support that it was ever MSFT's intent to divide up the market. You can tell your friends that you would like a date with Julia Roberts but that is just wishful thinking and not a crime. You can talk about a lot of stuff without violating any laws. But from the real evidence the agreement between AAPL and MSFT it appears that what they would agree to is as follows:
AAPL drop suit re: patents on GUI
MSFT invests 150,000,000 which was badly needed by AAPL at the time
MSFT agrees to continue support of Office and IE on Mac platform.

Seems like a reasonable deal.

There really is no market share that AAPl could have contributed to make any market collusion interesting to MSFT. AAPL is kidding themselves if they think they have much clout in the marketplace. I own a Mac and I ought to know because I can't use half the software that a PC can. Actually MSFT is one of only a handful of software companies that support the Mac with first rate applications.

Additionally MSFT wants to keep AAPL alive as they are a great straw man for MSFT. Gates et al can point to the fact that people could choose to buy a Mac. If you are so upset with MSFT why don't you buy a Mac or a Sun computer or run Linux on your INTC chip?
