Frank: I have downloaded the mediaring software and tried it successfully. I had half-duplex on my old PC (the one I chose to use) with a junk micro & speaker system.

It was interesting how it engaged from locating a central ISP, (I assume it was compuserve), then connecting to the other side. You need to click on the speaker icon to talk, letup to listen. Not bad for 5 bucks a month if you have others continually running their PC. With half-duplex on my old PC, it still sounded really good, almost toll quality, I was amazed.

Its worth a demo if anyone has family with a PC, and you don't need Compuserve to sign up for a trial 30 days.

Hi Frank:

Michael Noll strikes again:

telecommagazine.com

I guess that if academics could be sued for malpractice,
process servers would already be lining up at Dr. Noll's
door.

Best regards,
