Nintendo, LucasArts Sign Pact For Star Wars Games

REDMOND, Wash. (Reuters) - "...Nintendo of America Inc., LucasArts Entertainment Co. LLC and Lucas Licensing said they entered a five-year worldwide agreement for three new Star Wars games, granting limited exclusivity to Nintendo...Two of the games will be based on the upcoming 1999 Star Wars feature film, ''Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace.''

The games will debut exclusively in home console form on the Nintendo 64 and in portable form on Nintendo's Game Boy Color system, the companies said in a statement. All titles will be distributed exclusively by Nintendo.

LucasArts will develop and publish the Nintendo 64 versions of the games while Nintendo will develop the titles for Nintendo's new Game Boy Color handheld system. Under terms of the agreement, Nintendo will market each of the games and hold exclusive worldwide distribution rights for five years following the release of each game..."

...and the Company did not have the balls to advise their shareholders accordingly...the shareholders of this Company are simply Prisoners of War...in our opinion...NewKidCo blew it and is blowing it bigtime...viz a viz every other business unit and product line within this shareholder value destructive Holding Company...what exactly will Richard Rabins have to say at the AEA Classical Financial Conference beginning this weekend?...or will he and Selwyn simply cancel this also?...and remain holed up in Boston to watch [their] shares tank...further...?...another [substantive] smoking gun...
