Sorry, I just can't resist this one. I have personally seen a document in the British Museum signed "William Shakespear". The boy signed his name with at least seven different spellings, according to the experts. I have also seen "Shakspear" -- the other four I'd just be guessing about.

My dictionary shows it as "Shakespeare".
