ratan, OT, the best thing I can tell you is never do anything during your running that gets you discouraged. Learn how to breath the correct way, learn how to pace the right way, wear the best sneakers for your body type, run wear their is beautiful scenery. Try to build slowly but surely. Weight training for your upper body, thighs, calves, stomach and forearms is also helpful.

:o)

Re Running:
Best book I have found on running for exercise is called "Aerobics" by Kenneth H. Cooper. Inspiring stories with schedules and suggestions for improvement. What got me started was to watch a guy from Cameron still pedaling furiously (in last place) after going 100 miles in the 1984? Olympics bike race in Mission Viejo.
The training is lonesome,as its hard to find anyone else with free time or inclination, but the comradery and sense of accomplishment thru being in a race is mind boggling.
As Drew says you can do it.
