Here is some more data on today's advance: ____________ Dow posting a triple-digit gain, having broken through the 8800 level which marked a 1400-point advance from its Sept. 1 low... Short-covering playing a part in the action as the market refuses to go down... 1) Overnight & early morning (Europe) rally in global equity markets, 2) key election victories by Democrats 3) Japan's banking reform plan, 4) expectation of further rate cuts, 5) Congress' approval of IMF funding, 6) Brazil's fiscal austerity package, 7) The seemingly diminished likelihood for impeachment of Clinton. Anything else?
