Sorry, Dan - no bitterness here - my guy (the campaign I actively supported) won. Don't follow Drudge and don't follow the Times - wouldn't trust either to not engage in advocacy journalism.

I've said before that the Republican leadership is guilty of going into gunfights with knives and clubs. You'd think they'd have learned by now that they can't win anything on truth. Truth is now an unpopular, formerly morally sound concept that has been systematically turned from black and white into various shades of gray -- the perfect playground for moral relativism.

From what I've heard about a few races in other parts of the country this morning, and from the Times piece you cite, we have once again proven that if you're really good at spin and the media loves your stance on certain issues, you can fool most of the people most of the time.
