RE: TV Outside of Intel Inside

I am shopping for the best DVD, HDTV, RealPlayer, HighFi I can find. I hope I don't have to wait for Katmai. I have been shopping Dell on-line (http://www.dell.com) and Compusa (http://www.compusa.com) and reading about all of the DVD, tv boards, video boards, high quality sound, and big monitors. It looks like you can put a top of the line 450 MHz Dimension so equipped for about $2,500. I can't find any demos at the stores of similar equipment, and I would love for someone else to take the plunge while I fiddled around and saw how they turned out. Maybe if I can fiddle long enough I will get Katmai after all.
People tell me the high sound option is about as good as you can get. The 450 seems to handle 100 fps.
I wish people would share their experience on this important matter.

Ann - re: "Does anyone know if Intel is putting their chips into these types of systems?"

Sony and Compaq have always pushed the Multimedia Audio/Video end of the spectrum - so look for Intel-based products from them.

Toshiba also offered built in video - several years ago - but I think they have withdrawn from the Desktop market.
