Well unfortunately my pessimism about these small stocks is based on bitter experience. for example i purchased a small stock called clifton which i believed to be a good silver play ,after the stock has fallen it has become apparent that they cant produce silver profitably .presumably the insiders managed to sell shares off to the small guy suckers. some time ago i owned a small canadian gas company called southward energy ,i dont own it now but it has significant production has about the same number of shares out as epic the last time i checked and its trading at around 65 cents .i am not recommending it and havent checked on its production or exploration success recently but the point is i am sure with due diligence you can find a number of small canadian gas production companies with positive cash flow that are trading around the same price and company valuation as epic, the prices of these companies are real depressed right now especially with the canadian dollar resembling the peso.as for all these small vse companies i wished i had never set sight on any of them they are all hot air and bs as far as i am concerned much better i think to but medium sized companies on the tse which has more strict reporting rules.i personally think they should close the ase and vse down its primarily designed to rip off the small guy .arh
