-- Commodore Applied Gets 2 More Yrs On $20M Energy Dept Pact --
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Commodore Applied Technologies Inc.'s (CXI) Commodore
Advanced Sciences Inc. unit received a two-year extension on its technical
assistance contract with the U.S. Department of Energy, valued at $20 million.
In a press release Wednesday, Commodore Applied said the contract calls for
its unit to provide technical assistance and support to the Energy Department's
Calsbad Area Office in New Mexico.
The company, which had 1997 revenues of about $19.5 million, said it expects
to generate revenues of about $10 million a year over the next two years from
the contract.
Commodore Applied, an environmental technology company, is 34% owned by
Commodore Environmental Services Inc. (COES).
