At least with the Clinton inquisition, the issue was over something he did that most will agree is wrong, as opposed to, say, the McCarthy hearings.

Having never done anything wrong personally, I will have to agree with you. I would feel 100% comfortable discussing every detail of my life in front of the entire country. How about you?

Not exactly. Recent information from the former Soviet Union suggests that McCarthy wasn't as far off as previously thought.
