Zax - I agree that moral absolutists are inherently totalitarian; fortunately our system of government precludes totalitarianism but by design, it allows for a certain degree of moral relativism - as long as men and women of honor and character are there to preclude a slide into the morass of moral anarchy.

Why is it that you believe that honor, character and honesty are no longer fashionable? Any clues you can offer?

Mr. K.

This election was a very sad and frightening indictment of the state of our country and the electorate. Unfortunately, I am forced to admit there are a great many more people like yourself who make light of the core values that made this country great like honesty, integrity, etc. Too bad for us all.
