Ms. Harris :

I am not at all surprised that Fong lost the Asian vote. Most of the Asian-Americans that I spoke to, tended to characterize Fong as "the one who crossed over from here to the other side". And they must have got P-ed off as hell when it was revealed that Fong had actually donated money to some hate-mongering outfit.
