More hype.. Unless you can verify for me what the what I will be forced to comform with.

<<Now when family rights are about things like a higher dependent deduction, that's another matter, and consensus can often be achieved. But when it amounts to forced conformity with a RR social agenda, that's another matter entirely.>>

More Hype...
<<Yes indeed. The conflict over those two different types of discomfort, and which should trump, is indeed what the culture wars are all about. Count me unambiguously among those on the side of multicultural tolerance.>>

You want this to trump principles. Confusing, because if you really want to stand on a cultural tolerance platform, its foundation is principles of righteous living.

You are implying there is no tolerance to cultural differences, which is not a problem, what you really meant to say is remove standards so that you can do or have what you want, when you want it, because you want it. Using the sensitivity of principled individuals to carve away at standards supporting equity and justice for all in society is convenient.
If such an agenda ever succeeds I am out of here, because I don't want to listen to the whole country screaming "gimme, gimme" when there is no one left to give.

<<Even thought I am a middle aged white male, who went to a leading private collage, is a professional, and comes from a Christian (though certainly not a fundamentalist) background.>>

That explains the sell out on ethics and integrity. You are one of those "guilty" white males that is overly sensitive to every, gimme because you people have been mean to me, whine that's ever been chucked your way. There is hope though, the middle aged identity crisis will be over some time soon.
