Hi Amsterdam... no Boxer fan here, in fact I voted for Fong, but I knew he wouldnt win because on my way home I heard about the republicans losing everywhere and I knew that was it for Fong... in fact on my way home some people were speculating that Mosely Braun would actually hang on if you can believe that. I think Fong and the republicans lost here more than Boxer won. First of all she outspent her opponent, and Hillary was out here campaigning and that helped. But really, the republican gov candidate was very weak and he seemed to personify all these problems with the republicans and that hurt Fong. Boxer then ran a bunch of negative ads that claimed Fong was anti-choice (untrue, but Lungren is anti-choice and the voters got confused), and that Fong was against the assault rifle ban and some other hot issues and that was it for Fong, so Boxer was back in. The republicans were so lame out here this time around that I doubt they have the smarts to run for student body president and win. A white male agenda is a loser in this state with a non-white non-chistian majority. On the radio they said the only group Lungren won was angry white males. Come on. And no pro-life candidate can win here either so the sooner they figure that out the better.
