Spin, spin, and more spin.....

>>largely defensive ways<<

oh----my----- God, be sure to check out Dick Morris' rendition of Clinton's so-called involvement in WH spin. If you don't think that the talking points and spin don't come from BC then you are deluded. You are absolutely insulting the intelligence of the people on this thread when you advance the argument, that somehow, poor little innocent Bill was just sitting as desk minding his own business (getting blow jobs?) while those mean old spinners of his were doing their dastardly deeds, and, oh my oh my, well, there's just not a one single thing I can do about it. Just like when he "took responsibility" for his actions at the prayer breakfast telling the American people he was no longer going to use legal maneuvers to justify his lying, then send his attorneys on the talk show circuit to do just that the very next day!........Puh----leeze. I can't even believe I'm still hearing the VRWC excuse anymore, and who is wearing blinders here? Wake up dougjn, even the dems aren't singing that tune anymore. bp

doug - interesting that the "mainstream press" didn't have the stomach for much negative about Bill Clinton until his first election was assured. And this time around, it wasn't until the tabloids were starting to get too close to be ignored that the sharks started getting pushed into the "presidential" water, where, once in, they fed as much as they thought the public ought to hear and see, then let the story go stale enough to deter anyone from bringing it up as an issue.

I've rarely seen so much emphasis on redundantly dunning Americans with supposed "news" stories about polling "data." Obviously, some people finally started believing the "leave him alone because everybody says leave him alone" mantra.

Like someone once said, never argue with a man who buys ink by the barrel.
