Papaya : To me, one of the most BULLISH factors for the Dow is that there are so many "official" bears out there. One reads article after article from this "expert" and that pronouncing major financial disasters and calamities in the months and years to come. Like the prophets of doom at Kitco, in the old days, who believed that their salvation lay in Armageddon. Apocalypse now! Prepare to meet thy maker!

From my point of view, however, all this negativity is factored into the market. Without doubt, each and every investor must have addressed the downside, at least in his/her mind, especially after recent events. Many have sold/taken "insurance"/moved into cash, defensive stocks or whatever. And still the Dow is within 5% of its all-time high. So, what is that telling us?!

Accordingly, I don't believe what ANY of the experts say --- bullish or bearish. As the story unfolds, day by day, I'll try to read it. But to have preconceived ideas --- especially profound ones --- that's a no-no. I'm just going with the flow and hoping for the best. Like a dumb blonde!
