Brazil lawmakers begin pension-reform vote process Reuters, Wednesday, November 04, 1998 at 17:34 BRASILIA, Nov 4 (Reuters) - The lower house of the Brazilian Congress late Wednesday began the process of voting on three final amendments to the government's social security reform bill, one element of an austerity plan aimed at averting a financial crisis in Latin America's biggest economy.
