Westell has MOU's memorandoms of understanding with DELL,CPQ,AAPL,CNET-snap online(cnwk) and HWP.....MOU's are done before formal contracts are signed and when that happens the PR will follow...It's just a matter of time so your wishful thinking is correct...

Dave,

Would you have the URL to that DELL news release. I was under the impression that DELL would install a NIC Ethernet card in the PC. The installers would then take a Cat-5 cable from the external Westell modem and connect it to that internal DELL NIC card.

Also, BEL will be in 60 cities by the end of 1999 not 1998.

Hi Dave, things going pretty well here but won't be posting much unless its after 5:00 EST from now on. Watched pot never boils. :} Chart not showing me much other than a possible double or even triple bottom if you use the belt hold bullish of weeks ago. Im still looking for two consecutive closes above 4.5 before getting hopes of 6.5 but a BIG PR it would take for anything above that unless I get my other wish in Nov. Smile Trey, gggg

<Was any mention of the Bell Atlantic modem supplier given ?>

Depending on how you look @ it No. Im assuming that these will be external modems supplied by Wstl but don't hold me to them being external. Explains some of the vague detail in the PR's.

<If they are rolling this out in a few months, it must be Westell, no ?>

BA did mention Wstl as the supplier of modems but didn't handle the PR as did our Western friends. :{ The heart of it all, I wonder.

As for other things happening, AT&T is starting to trial adsl & stated they would wrap that particular trial up @ the end of the first qt. in 99. Something about working the bugs out first, imagine that. ggg I think it was with one of our Western telco's & may have been in SF. I can't recall. IBM starting to trial as well. Read both these today but hard copies only. AT&T trying to purchase Global Village or may have already, again no url.

Dug

P.S.

Marc, Id like to hold till June myself but that all depends on Wstl mgnt. If by some wild chance it rises to 8 by Dec 31 Ill dump & repurchase. Still a little optimistic.

dave--

wishful thinking? very. all DELL is going to do is put in an ethernet card so that the computer can be networked to the modem.

good luck to all,
