Rob, I've been doing some research on Survive 2000. It's an excellent program. Problem is there seem to be many other companies selling the exact same program. And as these guys are selling on the net, any territorial rights PINC says they have are meaningless.

Now, it could be that MSS acquired an exclusive license from ANKH Pty, the company from Australia that wrote the program, but that word has never come up in any press release. Surely if they had an exclusive contract by now they would have gone after the other guys selling Survive 2000!?

Also, I've read here that PINC has modified the original program somewhat. Does that mean they were also given the rights to the Survive 2000 source code?

As for the 14,000 per month figure, I was told by someone "close to ANKH" that perhaps all the distributors combined may have at one time gotten that many downloads, but that would have been for the free version of the program-- not the "professional" version that PINC has repackaged.

PINC has enough problems with the 25 or so companies that compete with it, including giants like Symantec and Network Solutions, let alone have to worry about competing against internet-based companies selling pretty much the exact same program, IMO.

Does this make sense to you? have you heard differently? If Greg the IR guy is out there, feel free to e-mail me (or Robert) and I'll post your response. Thanks!

- Jeff

ahh but Robert, that's hardly the fair side of the bet. The side I presented merely argues whether this is yet another Westergaard P'n'D or not. The side you present asks for a specific top which frankly, nobody could call with any true accuracy. I'll consider your note as declining the invitation. That's fine&#151perfectly fine. But you might want to consult the people who really wrote this software as part of your DD.

Humbly report, Robert, while you're checking into Jeff's questions regarding the PINC relationship with ANKH Pty and Survive 2000, might as well add a couple of mine.

Survive 2000 offers marketing partnerships:
kombu.com

Is PINC one of these partners? Exclusive, non-exclusive, buyout, or what? In other words, is MBCK the same/different thing as the software offered here:

nic-nz.com

Also, according to a PINC press release (#reply-5811096) Pacific Dynamics has a 50,000 unit sales agreement with PINC. Did they purchase, pay for, and receive 50,000 units, or is this figure a future sales target projection of some sort?

I see that Pacific Dynamics has a web site set up for MBCK, but other than containing description of MBCK that is almost identical to PINC's
(http://www.pacd.com/mbckreview.htm) the rest of their site (http://www.pacd.com/mbck.htm) does not work. Not the Purchasing link, not the Distributorship link, none of them.

What exactly is the relationship between Pacific Dynamics and PINC? How come they're setting up distributorships of their own?

In a nutshell, what's all this distributorships stuff? Survive 2000 is setting up distributors. Is PINC one of them? Is Pacific Dynamics another? If not, what's going on here?

All the best to ya!

Cheers,

Svejk
