Dlc,
I had the same feelings. Initially I thought myself that the current quarter will be a mixed bag although all estimates should be met because I'm aware of the lead.time. Does anyone know about the CC - Has it yet been conducted ?? Could anybody fill in here ?

Anyway, no downgrades yet in MASK. If the CC tone lived/lives up to this, we have a competitive, neutral with slight upside bias (since we are gaining market share). But next quarter when revenues from quarter micron production finally moves in should provide for the REAL BIG BOOST.

I think that after the maskmakers are punished all alike and the semi-eqip downgrade festival has finally ended, it would be a good opportunity to load up another bunch of MASK.

best regards
CROSSY

BTW: found it at Yahoo, CC was conducted, no negative news inside. As soon as I sold my PWAV (next 3 weeks) I will load up more of MASK...

DLC & all,

Regarding Mask-makers I'm under the impression that the market punished the whole group recently. With PLAB & DPMI downgrades hitting the street, many thougt MASK should be next. To asses the situation at arm'S length, I think it would pay to find the following insights

1) MASK specifically mentioned 0.25 (QMI - quarter micron), PSM (phase shift masks), OPC etc. What about gross margins in these segments in contrast to MASKs old product line (up to 0,35/0.5) ? Is there a remarkable difference ?

2) Since the competition that PLAB & DPMI specified in their earnings warning(s) can only be MASK and some captive shop, it would be nice to find out whether PLAB & DPMI are responding to it with price-cuts of their services..

Any info on these matters ?

best regards
CROSSY
