I remember back in the early 80s when I was taking pre-law courses, the subject of attorneys advertising came up. Back then, attorneys were only allowed to have "listings" in Yellow Pages, etc. -- ads were considered unprofessional. Things sure change. The legal profession is no longer professional or honorable - just swill.

This has effected the entire legal system, of course, which is now seen by most people as totally inadequate and unfair.

I am very happy that I did not become a lawyer, although I was fascinated with law, and got top grades. Studying the law and practicing it are sure two different things entirely.

If brokers can be sued (successfully--of course, you can sue anyone, for any reason) for stocks they recommend that go bad, good luck to all the stockbrokers out there!! For heavens sake, doesn't anyone take responsibility for their own actions and decisions anymore?
