Oh... It looks like DELL is going to offer the ADSL modem in early 1999. I see what DR. Tech is saying about a Memorandum Of Understanding "MOU" with Westell/DELL. I'll assume for now that DELL needs to work with Westell to provide this CAP based ATU-R solution.

It will be interesting to see how DELL handles high speed access with its computers. Lets say BEL and ComCast are in the same area competing for customers. BEL better start marketing their DSL solution to get the mind share of those customers. Those customers will eventually be able to order a cable modem with their configuration. DELL wants to sell computers, it will use all of the high speed access solutions.

On a different topic, I was riding home the other day and heard for the first time a radio commercial for DSL. I think it was Covad in the NYC area starting to push their service... until later
