Was this the one who was Bush Jr's campaign manager or some such thing? Too bad the Chronicle didn't pick up on that part....maybe they should be advised.. referencing Gary Polland - Howard, what you are probably thinking of is that Polland is the Chair of the Harris County Republican party. He is also a major contributor to Governor Bush's presidential campaign. People in such positions often have their eye on a White House job down the road. I don't believe, however, he has ever served as campaign manager. Raven
