With COMS new state of the art inventory tracking system, they
should have a *very good idea* during the quarter, and immediately
after the quarter. They don't keep very much inventory at all
now, and Analysts can tell easily what the status is.
Being you're a CFO, you should look into
their inventory tracking system and see if you can glean some
special insights about their working. I wonder if they can
tell almost up to the minute what the inventory and sales are.
I still wonder when a sale is marked and how much room companies
have to juggle this.
