kelley: wrong. I have long deplored the incestuous relationship between Dems and "yeah 85% of us are Dems, but we're impartial" so-called journalists. I've sent a few e-mails to the editors of ABC News, asking for factual basis to stories, and pointing out many instances of blatant bias in news stories. Not one of my e-mails has been answered. For example, after Clinton's non-apology speech, and prior to and after Clinton's video-taped testimony, and prior to and after the Congressional Judiciary Panel meetings, I have: 1) Asked why ABC News biased headlines consistently to suggest the Democratic view. "Democrats decry..." "Democratic leaders say...." 2) Asked why ABC News consistently quotes first and more frequently from Democrats in stories. "Indignant Democrat so-and-so said.... 3) Asked why, after Starr sent his report to Congress, ABC News focused their biggest headline story not on that report, but instead trumpeted "President's Attorneys Send Pre-rebuttal", and "President's Lawyers Send Rebuttal".... Anyone with half a brain can see that the major media has consistently favored Democrats the entire way through. The only Republican coverage is biased towards negative spin. To top it off, after the President admitted that he was a lying lowlife, ABC News pulled out all the stops to undertake an impromptu study of how much people lie, and for what reasons. The upshot of the story strongly suggested that everyone lies, therefore we shouldn't hold our President to a higher standard. More recently I sent the following e-mail to CNN: to: cnn.feedback@cnn.com subject: story facts In a story with the AP byline posted on the CNN.com site, LAURIE KELLMAN wrote: "And contrition seems to have helped President Clinton, at least for now. He was harshly criticized coupling an attack on independent counsel Kenneth Starr with his statement of regret on Aug. 17 for his "inappropriate" relationship with Monica Lewinsky. But Clinton asked his family, friends, advisers, Cabinet members, supporters and the rest of the nation for forgiveness." -------- I must have missed it when Clinton asked the rest of the nation for forgiveness. Could you tell me at what event Clinton said this? And could you also direct me to other journalists who wrote of this speach, and who also noted that he asked forgiveness from "the rest of the nation"? I couldn't find anyplace where I could e-mail Ms. Kellman directly, nor could I find even an AP web site. Therefore, I'm asking you, the editors at CNN, if you know of any factual basis for Ms. Kellman's statements. If you do, please enlighten me. Thanks in advance. Dwight Karlsen, Vancouver, Washington State ---------------- Needless to say, I have not received an answer from CNN either.
