Will, oh well yes on the networking stuff...Tough call, 56k modems are pretty cheap now. Have you checked to see if the cable modem service is available in your area? In the SF valley we still have a couple of months before it is available. If the service is not available yet and you want internet access, the whole discussion may be moot.

Cable modems over time will provide much more than internet access though there are concerns about the affects of other local activity on the shared bandwidth.

Let's put it this way though. I have an ISDN-BRI now, my name is already on my cable company's list for cable modem service.
