Craig - Re: "And the MXi .. well ..."

What's the latest scoop on the MXi?

By the way, did NSM get rid of Jay Swent (?), the Cyrix guy who was running Cyrix at the time of the takeover?

That guy was a fountain of information compared to the NSM folks who say nothing - unless they get a FACE SHOT on CNBC.

Craig,

We will see how the low end machines from Compaq and IBM will do. If they do very well, you can consider it as evidence that people don't overly care about the CPU. It's just one of the numbers they encounter on the "sticker".

The first time buyer will see:

CPU a MHz
HD b GB
Memory c MB
CD-ROM d X
Modem e K
graphics card resolution f x g
Price x dollars

So it's kind of like how do I get the most of a through g for the least of x?

We will see. If M2 is successful this quarter, I can see a lot of people at Intel scratching their heads.

Joe
