Morning Jo, At this point I have not seen any relationship with Valueline Timeliness ratings and sectors below 50% BP, however we have seen in the past few months that those stocks ranked 1 or 2 in Timeliness and on positive P&F signals and RS, out preform those on non Valueline Timeliness 1 & 2 by around 50%....

Whether or not this will continue to be seen I'm not sure, however for now I prefer the advantage this has provided thus far.

Hi Jo6pack. FWIW, I have found that the VL individual Stock Timeliness ratings to be very helpful. However, their Industry Timeless ratings are very slow to react to industry shifts. For example, after the semi's topped in September 1995, VL had this sector rated number 1 or 2 for about 4 months as I recall it. The Point & Figure sector charts are pretty timely and most don't give head fakes.
IBD has good sector info, but you have to follow it daily to stay on top of it.

Good luck. Dick
