XOMA is recruiting a -- Title: Supervisor of Operations (Fermentation) Essential Duties: Supervise fermentation activities and personnel. Issue schedules for respective areas. Maintain inventory of raw materials for scheduled activities. Train employees on manufacturing and other related procedures. Assist with the specifications and start-up of new equipment in the manufacturing area. Perform trouble-shooting of instruments and processes. Participate in process validation studies and WORK WITH TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENT ON NEW PRODUCT SCALE-UP and process optimization. Write SOPs for new procedures and review and edit existing SOPs to reflect changes in procedures. Other projects as assigned. Of course, this could be excessive optimism or even a clever feint.
