Alan,
Normally how much they pay for a salesman in CPU? I undertand their attitude, BTW with that kind of salary (under 30K/yr or for temp. under 15K/yr) it is very hard not to looking for smoke break !! Also with mail order free of tax I guess many like me buy big items thru internets and shop CPU for promotionals or small stuffs. Of course I trust Bill and would like to buy CPU at some dips.
Regards,

The question is, as opposed to who?

In my area, the employees at Fry's are just as bad, usually worse. Circuit City seems to be comparable, but carry a lot less computer stuff. Best Buy seems to be a little bit better, but that's based on a sample of one.

Incidentally, I like BBY as well.

My experience with CPU employees makes me believe that CPU has rigorous hiring requirements: they test candidates on their knowledge about computing and anyone that has the slightest understanding of computing is rejected. Some employees are very arrogant too. Just my $0.02.
