Tenchusatsu - re: " Personally, even I have a hard time believing that AMD let its K6-3 slip another quarter. "

Didn't you see the re-post of an e-mail response from AMD's Investor Relations gal Toni Beckham?

She said that AMD was going to do a phoney baloney "K6-3 product ANNOUINCEMENT" (i.e., it ain't gonna ship) in late Q4 but most likely it would take until Q299 before K6-3 devices would be in the marketplace.

That's AMD's COMPANY LINE !

Q299 is a MINIMUM SLIP of 6 months - since the initial schedule was the second half of 1998 - and all of Jerry's Kids were waiting for a July 1, 1998 Sharpy Ship Date !
