AMD is transforming into a CPU design powerhouse company. It used to be AMD is strongest in manufacturing. Now the design team is even more
stronger than the manufacturing team. That however will balance out
when FAB30 goes on line. AMD will leapfrog Intel when the K7 debuts
and Intel will have a hell of a time to catch up. Intel marketing
team will fill in while the design team is catching up.
