Either your misreading the original quote, or I am misreading your comment.

Original Quote: to understand how to compete against OSS, we must target a process rather than a company

Your comment: A good example of the lack of NIH within MSFT, and how they try to find how to take advantage of anything that works, from anywhere.

My comment: The original quote said they must 'target' a process, not emulate it. I interpret it to mean they plan to attack the OSS process with FUD, not that they have realized that the OSS process works better and will now change the process internally at MSFT in order take advantage of the lessons learned by it.

Am I missing something?
