Manias die hard. The USA and world stock markets are again rallying as they did after the October 27, 1997 mini crash. The market continues to deny three realities: weak corporate earnings, lower rates do not support stocks and, an impotent IMF can not stem a global crisis. All past manias have ended with generational declines of about 50% or more.
