Dave, not a matter of costing me, but of not benefiting from a price movement in my favor. I've had several instances of limit orders being executed at my limit, despite the price having dropped several 1/16ths (assume buy here) in the time it takes to process the order. Only at Waterhouse have I benefited from the price drop, buying below the limit price on several occasions, selling above limit at least once. At Discover I believe I should have benefited on at least three occasions and did not. Not sure about Fidelity - it's harder to tell there.
