They need to get used to the fact that socialist programs have effectively crowded each other out on the federal budget. Which financially troubled and riddled-with-fraud program does one cut or what tax does one raise to start up another one. The Reds and Greens in Germany are now proposing annual taxes on assets held to fund more welfare programs since they've pretty much maxed out income and death taxes.
