Hi SW -

Just saw Abbey on CNBC. Goodness she is like a breath of fresh air.

I think that the stco is just not going to perform as volatile as it did in the past because:-

1. LU deal. This tie-up has clearly done a lot more than just provide all the finance for the build out. It has brought a degree of recognition and upped the profile of the company. WCII got a mention on CNBCs interview with Chambers this morning. Quite unsolicited mention not in a way that was inherently good or bad but a mention in the same sentance as LU and CSCO. A mention in that company arises because of the LU deal and seems to me to be very good.

2. Every customer and $ of revene added at this stage starts to have an almost disproportionatly beneficial effect on the credibility of WCII.

3. WCII is becoming more of a target by the day. One or two of the CLECS have done very very wel in the last week or so.

4. Chambers said this morning that he expects domestic long distance and international voice calls to be FREE ( yes FREE) in the near future. That leaves broadband and last mile and local connection service as all there is of todays telecom industry. A fantastic prophecy and one that benefits WCII.

5. Assuming tha the crash is over I guessed that WCII would be over $100 by the end of next year. I didn't expect it to move much before the end of next summer since fund managers didn't seem to want to know much about story stocks while the crash was on but maybe they are now focusing on the company and have seen what we have seen and are acting now.

Best regards,

L

SW - I hear you. Seeing everything we've seen with this issue to date - anything is possible. Weakness starting at 3:00? Maybe, maybe not. I think the numbers will be better than good, but any fool that is expecting positive earnings must either be lobotomized or way out of touch with reality. Besides, this isn't a runup, it's a bounce. We were just at 30 what, a month ago? At any rate, I'm looking forward to the call, they're usually quite inspirational (unless of course, you are a terminal cynic).
