Bob--AND is taking off again today.
I was watching it for a shortside hit and held off. Glad I did it is moving up big again. Maybe some shorts who got in too early are getting a squeeze.
All the Best

Hello Mr. Trocchi:

I agree; I think the PR is the reason AND is up despite a shrinking business with negative margins. I am short AND.

I interpret the PR to be AND is economizing by adapting DSP based functions to the power of the signal processing enhancements Intel continues to develop in its lines of microprocessors. Intel's PR did not reflect their industry based working relationships for speech recognition (what about IBM, which I understood dropped AND--which was a trigger to me to take notice and short AND on anticipation of tanking in earnings this quarter, and Dragon Systems, and the handful of competitors for AND?). The speech recognition algorithm is more a source of value than being able to obtain adequate microphone signals.

I suspect many got the misimpression from the PR that Intel is adapting its microprocessor developments to fit AND's shrinking business, which I do not believe is a valid interpretation. I will be looking to short more after the madness has run its course.
Edit--billions don't chase after AND's few millions....

Best regards,
m
