Assuming you/they are talking about COMDEX.....
Well this is old news brian Z,the MD withdrew from the Keynote speech 'coz COMDEX had too many Keynote speakers which naturally kind of thins out the 'keynote' from the 'speech'.However MD and other senior executives will be addressing interested parties on a more personal level.

BTW isn't this comdex thing over by now is it still going on or yet to come?

His decision to withdraw was discussed here (reply #74040) a couple of weeks ago...

....the giant trade show will also be shy one speaker. Michael S. Dell, CEO of Dell Computer Corp., has abruptly withdrawn from a scheduled keynote speech. A Dell spokesman said the 33-year-old wunderkind accepted the show's invitation with the understanding there would be only five such luminaries. But the roster swelled to nine speakers, including three other computer execs on the first day alone. Perhaps most irksome: the recent addition of Eckhard Pfeiffer, CEO of Dell archrival Compaq Computer Corp., who nabbed the prized morning spot on Comdex's opening day.
