Madera Releases 1998 Fiscal 10KSB and First Quarter 10Q Both Showing Profits

CORAL GABLES, Fla., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Madera International, Inc. (OTC
Bulletin Board: WOOD) announced today that its March 31, 1998 Fiscal Year End
Audit has finally been completed by its Auditors and the 10KSB annual report will be
filed by Friday, November 6, 1998. Ramiro Fernandez-Moris, CEO of WOOD, stated
that he was indeed pleased that the audited statement confirmed the profit that had been
projected. He indicated that the company achieved a profit of $1,137,670, or $0.017
per share compared to a loss of ($0.002) per share in the previous year. This in on only
$4.5 million in sales, which further emphasizes the validity of prior projections, stated
Mr. Fernandez-Moris.
Furthermore, upon obtaining the numbers provided by the auditors, the company was
able to complete its first quarter 10Q, which also shows a profit of $215,694, or
$0.003 per share compared to a loss of ($0.005) in the previous year. It was also
stated that the asset base of the company continues to grow. It is now $37,906,334,
with a shareholder's equity of $36,458,289, or more than $0.50 per share (numbers
based upon the audited financial statement). There are currently 72,905,669 shares
outstanding.
Madera is a wood products company involved in the environmentally sound harvesting
of hardwood and exportation of the products derived from Brazil and Peru.
