Well. If it takes 2 feminazis to empower you to speak, then you are indeed as weak as you have always claimed to be.

Thomas Jefferson is often quoted as saying, if this country doesn't go through a revolution of some sort every twenty years it will fail. I think it is failing when I see that people really don't expect any kind of integrity in leadership and will excuse anything as long as they are getting what they personally want.

I don't expect the people being grouped as RR will change Bill Clinton or what the Democratic party does. The best hope they have is to rally support from like minded individuals to strengthen their position.

My problem is in understanding the people who do believe Bill Clinton is a worthy leader. Instead of pushing him to greater degrees of integrity in office, it appears like there is a mass enabler drive to tell him that support for whatever he does is unconditional, as long as we are getting our goodies.

??? re: ...the only women on this thread are both from Northern
California....??

You mean, perhaps, the only women during the past week and a half?

Now, for example, up until late October, when my computer decided to go blooey, I was a regular contributer to this thread. From Washington, D.C. area -- at your service.

Other women who regularly contribute do so under pseudonyms or initials (like myself), and they are from all over the map, and profess various political sympathies.

Just for the record.

I hope the flames didn't hurt too bad. I'd hate to see those two typing fingers of your's bandaged up and disabled.

I think maybe the 2 fine Senators from California have empowered us so to speak..

California is cool, but it seems to get carried away with its own righteousness on occasion.

I moved out just in time to avoid their laws preventing smoking in all public places (including clubs and bars and casinos). For a place that prides itself on being "ahead" I fear even good old California can become a bastion of self-righteous tyrrany on occassion.

Alas, everyone needs a home. The religious right wing is the dead weight on the republican party just like the religious left wing is a thorn up the wazoo for the democrats.

Since those two extremes are actually much closer to eachother than the typical democrat and republican, mabye both parties should eject their dead weight.

Problem is, if they did, they'd group up together, form their own militia, and start bombing federal buildings, meat packing plants, abortion clinics, and any ASPCA that puts down animals.

You see, the problem that arises when you start to demonize "liberals", is that all you end up doing in the end is demonizing the "moral majority" as most people suddenly start to realize that they too, are a member of the "immoral minority".
