Glenn, you probably will have a very good season this year, even if you do not offer
your merchandise online. Jewellry, clothing and groceries (to name a few) do not seem
to lend themselves to online selling the way other items such as books, cds, videos, toys,
etc. do.

Agreed!

However, there is no denying that bricks-and-mortar vendors of such products
are scared s@#tless this season. And if the sea-change in my shopping habits are any
indication, they have every right to be.

Agreed again. I am not admitting that retailing has changed. Just like shopping malls changed the way people accessed their products, so will the net.

You shop in a manner that makes sense. You want selection. You do not mind paying a little more for good service and selection. You expect to be treated with respect. You should expect that. Without you, there would be no company. Price is not everything but there is a limit to over paying. Yo do expect that the company will have what you want or be able to deliver what you want within a reasonable time frame and you expect them to adhere to that. You want convenience because otherwise, shopping is work. You are a good customer. What I mean is you will return if all those needs are satisfied ona regular basis.

If showing a profit were the first priority, don't you think amzn could be showing a
profit now if Bezos wanted it to? (sincere question)

I always answer sincerely. I really do although some may not agree with me and I can understand that. I never make an insincere post unless I place a grin on it. Anyhow, the filings by Amazon group marketing with fulfillment labor costs. Therefore, I cannot not honestly say they would or would not be profitable if they desired at this point. I do not know their labor costs. I could guess on this but would get flamed by the bulls so I will leave it as I do not know.
