Merril, now MSDW. The baby Elephants have moved in to replace the big hummers who
are leaving. If DLJ leave's next, it will be time for you to un-box and take a holiday.

James,

I believe DLJ will leave soon too. They have hyped this enough to have the small retail investor take the shares of their hands. The recent internet report from DLJ yesterday did not even mention AMZN. They focused on AOL.

The volume for AMZN today is not extremely high but there are a lot of 25K blocks trading. That is atypical for AMZN. It is an expensive stock.

My guess are these elephants have been exiting AMZN and have been acquiring AOL and YHOO. Both are profitable. Both are at new all time highs give or take just a few points. I believe the new highs are due to the acquiring not the cause.
