Its amazing, How this market is holding up so well. Inspite of declining profits for the S&P 500 companies for the 3rd Q, the market is not very far from its "exuberant peak". Sounds to me like a deck of cards just about to tumble....Its called "living dangerously". One thing you must learn, when NAZ starts to move up, nobody dare come in its way...Its a bull-dozer...Its gone up straight 500 points in the last 20 days. Phenomenal. Or "irrational exuberance" ?

No, you have it wrong. 3-Com usually is 'stable' when the market is
roaring (so 3com goes nowhere on the upside), and it tanks when the market is down.

Steve,

As you probably noticed, I was out all day. Out sick
and had personal stuff to do. As you know, I don't have
hi-tech equipment at home;-). Anyways, I am well rested
and rarin' to go. I'll probably be up all night, but
only for an hour or so on the computer.

I'm just now starting to look at the day. All I know is
COMS finished at 35 1/8 because somebody told me. I forgot
to alert you guys to Greenspan talking today, but all turned
out OK. IMO, he still has to ease on rates, even though I
just read a while ago that corporate bond market is doing
markedly better.

RE: SANS

Interesting that you say there is "high price margins".
A previous poster was saying that margins are slim, and the
industry is dominated by disk companies.

Just lately, I've seen a swarm of articles on this topic. Probably
company PR related, but I think it is a big movement in itself.
Going from where I work, we are very data intensive.
More than you could imagine. Data is generally stored "close"
by, but as the tech world evolves, data storage can be in
stored further away from my immediate area. The biggest obstacle to remote data, is bandwidth.
So better to have multiple copies of data stored close to users.
I see this remote storage location of data as HUGH. But, I
haven't looked into it enough. Seems like COMS could have a
big edge in this because it could have very good control
over the network side of this.

Well, time to go over posts,...

Let's see if we can get COMS back up on the hot-list!!

joe

Steve,

I like COMS day chart. Couldn't look better!!

I'm sure you know why...weak hands flushed out, nobody
selling. Volume low, and no drop...hmmm, looks familiar.:-)

Couple of big block buys, and this stock will be meeting
up with John Glenn<gg>
