I think SS/L would have to go if Alcatel was the buyer with the military work done there. I guess we should never rule out the Japanese either with Mitsubishi making such a big play into the sat business now.

The vertical integration aspects of Time Warner make more sense when applied to TCI as part of AT&T, which also has a joint venture with BT--such a tangled web!

Worldcom--I have thought about it, but I think not. MCI obviously has zero interest in the only sat asset they have(the 110 DBS slot).

Price? Depends on the day! The scene changes dramatically if 5 more GEOs are in the air and we have had 11 G* launches. That definitely boosts the value. If I was a suitor, I would be negotiating with Lockheed right now to acquire that 16% stake at current prices and acquire the rest later when Schwartz says OK.
