Also, if you kept enough money in account to cover the call, why would it be a problem?>

I am not qualified enough to add any additional explanation. Are there any brokers out there who could answer this question? Jb I would ask that one to your broker and let him explain it to you. Probably has something to do with liabilities and protecting himself.
