<<<<For example if you read about the turn of the century that was a time in this
country where most services were privitized and it was a disaster.... the fire dept was privitized for example and if
there was a fire and you werent covered, your house burnt down>>>>>>

Michelle: I would be interested in reading about these so-called tragedies that you write about. Do you have any references that I could research these problems?

TIA

Common sense. I'd like to see a true example in history where a private Fire Dept. existed which failed to answer a call because the home owner hadn't paid up. I doubt the example exists- show me I'm wrong and you win.
On the other hand, In 1928 Congress began the Rural Electrification Program which stopped a quickly growing Windmill industry in it's tracks- thus paving the way for power plant subsidization, nuclear subsidization, etc. Thus one begins to see that the technology behind heavy industrial pollution was largely put into place by government subsidy, not private industry.
And let us not forget that as houses in the first wired cities were burning down all too quickly, private industry, created the private organization called Underwriters Laboratories to set standards for thickness and consistency of wire insulation. Bill Clinton was not involved.
Signing off with my chosen motto- Freedom Works. The poor republicans don't understand this which I consider to be a long term truism well enough at all. Freedom Works. G'day, mates.
OH- on topic. Clinton continues to lie about evidence that happens to be particularly relevant to the stated case of one private American citizen named Paula Jones. Sanity requires recognition that the Presidents sexual problems have come to the point where he slanders various American women by calling them liars. The effect this has on the lives of individual and numerous American Women(PRESIDENT said/she, said-whoa how'd ya like to fight THAT battle) is reprehensible and unacceptable. We deserve to say HI to Al Gore.
